The Wild Rose Cloggers (WRC) were founded in 1995 by director Tammy Cohen. With visions of forming a competition and performance team, she left her friends in the Royal Sil-O-Ets, and started teaching at TLS Dance in Farmington, Minnesota. Before long, this clogging class was given the name the Wild Rose Cloggers, and they began to perform around the Twin Cities area. With performances in Hopkins, Minnesota, and at the Mall of America, the dancers were having a blast.

In 1997, TLS Dance closed and the WRC started to rehearse at JAS Dance in Burnsville. As with any other activity, dancers came and went. Some moved to other states, some went off to college, and others had a variety of other school and personal activities (like junior drag racing, dance-line, and high school theatre!) that pulled them away from clogging.

The WRC now rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday night at the Pat Peare School of Dance in Eagan. Dances are still choreographed and taught by Tammy, but all dancers are encouraged to choreograph their own steps and routines, and to suggest music for new dances. The WRC also attend workshops nation-wide to learn new steps, trends, and dances to bring back to the team.
