WRC this week!

We rocked the State Fair today! :D Yay us!!!!

I hope everyone is feeling OK and is drinking lots of water!

This Tuesday we'll run the fair shows one last time for the Thursday, Saturday, and Monday shows!

Please remember that for the shows we're wearing our pink shirts on the days when there is one show and blue in the morning/pink in the afternoon when there are two shows. Black capris and white socks/shoes for all.

Please also remember that we have two shows coming up on September 8. St. Boni's in the afternoon and IGH Days at night. Then we can relax for a while....

Thanks to everyone for all your hardwork, dedication, and sweat. :) TTFN!

WRC next week! :)

Hi team!

I know I've worked you really hard this week but you're all doing GREAT! :)

Please plan on attending practices Tuesdays and Thursdays from now until the State Fair. If for some reason you cannot attend (and haven't already told me) you need to let me know ASAP. Practices (both nights for everyone) are mandatory until after the Fair.

Please see the calendar for dates and times of our performances and let me know if you have any questions!

Keep up the awesome work! TTFN!

WRC this week!

Hi team!

Great job at the national night out shows and in Mankato!!!!

This week we'll be reviewing for the state fair shows! If there is time Tuesday we'll work on Grassy Creek and on Thursday, Bout It - but it's mostly review from here. :)

I haven't heard if Miss Pat has finished the floors in the new studio yet, but if not - you can wear your taps if you dance softly like my mom. If you dance hard like me - no taps yet, sorry! For those of you back in your taps, please check them for sharp edges (and rocks from dancing outside). Please put some tape on them too, to help protect the new floor.

The WRC moment of the week is between:
Ashley getting her hair sucked into my fan (haha!) and Cindy and Duane ending up in the middle of a jam circle with the kids at the dance on Saturday (so cool!). :D

TTFN!

Mankato!

Who's ready for another show? Well at least this one is indoors! :) Here's the scoop for Saturday:

Please arrive by 5:30 wearing our pink WRC shirts, black pants (yes, pants!), white shoes and white socks. Getting there, take 169 south and merge onto US-14 west (towards New Ulm). Take Lookout Dr/CR-13 and turn left. Left again on Marie Ln and the address is 1851 Marie (in North Mankato). Allow one hour and 16 minutes from Burnsville according to Mapquest.

We are only dancing three songs and then are teaching the kids Cotton Eyed Joe. Bring a change of clothes though as we're invited to stay and shake our butts with the teenagers who are attending the dance. (Yay!)

TTFN!

WRC this week!

Hi all!

AWESOME job with the shows on Saturday!!!! :) Both the Threshers and the Hanover people have already asked us back for next year! Yay! And thank you so much to those of you who helped me carry, set up, and tear down our sound equipment! Talk about team work!

This week Tuesday there is no class as we are performing for two National Night Out celebrations (see below). Thursday we will review a few things and then work on Bout It. And sorry....still no taps in the new studio.

Tuesday night we will perform at 6:30 at my parents' party in Bloomington. From Burnsville, take 35W north and exit on 82nd St. Turn left and go to Penn and turn left again. Your first right is 82nd St again. Take that and go up to Xerxes where you'll turn left and then look for the party. (Directions from St. Paul: take 494 west and exit on Penn Av. Turn left and go up to 82nd and turn right. Then left on Xerxes.)

We'll dance here, grab some pizza, and scoot off to Andrea's party.

From there to Andrea's party: get back on 35W and go south. Take that to Hwy. 13 "south". Turn left on Co. Rd. 5 and right at Williams. Turn left at Morgan and right at Black Hills. Then right at Eagle Bluff Circle - or if it's blocked off just park there.

We'll dance here, and then eat ice cream. :) For both shows, let's wear our black capris and pink WRC shirts. Our poor shoes have taken quite the beating this season dancing on cement and asphalt. Tuesday will be even worse so if you have practice shoes you want to wear, go for it! As long as you're wearing taps, you can wear any color shoe you have!

Getting back to the discussion about warm up suits, I may have found some finally! (And wouldn't they have been nice at the festival Saturday morning??) So stay tuned....

Moment of the week:
Laura, in her socks, seeing how far she could slide, losing her balance, and almost taking me out in her attempt to stay upright. (It really was pretty funny!) :)

Thanks all! TTFN!

Bridge collapse.

My thoughts and prayers are with those injured in the bridge collapse last night and with the families of those who did not survive. It was a horrible tragedy and the only comfort there is, is that it could have been so much worse.

If I didn't see you at the open dance last night, and have not yet talked to you today, please comment below so I know you're all OK. I only worry because I love you all!!!!
