WRC Breaking News!
Guess what????
I received a phone call this morning from a casting agent. They are looking for cloggers to dance in a MN State Lottery commercial!!!!
The audition will be held next Tuesday, October 2nd at 4 PM in Minneapolis. Callbacks are Friday, October 5th. And the commercial would shoot October 9th and 10th (Tuesday and Wednesday).
I'm thinking we should do Hit Me, but if those of you who don't know Hit Me are interested, I was thinking of doing a Hit Me/Cry of the Celts mix. Or what do you think? I'm open to ideas of whatever you think are our best dances!
Please comment below ASAP to let me know if you're available and what dance(s) you think we should do! :)
Other things (unrelated) to mention:
- Remember beginner classes start Monday! 7 PM at Sky Oaks in Burnsville.
- We have been working on "I Don't Dance" specifically to perform it at the Halloween Workshop in St. Paul on October 19-20. If you haven't already done so, please register for the workshop before October 1. We will be wearing baseball costumes for this dance - so start shopping. Also - I have reserved a room at the host hotel in Eagan that Friday night for a WRC party/sleepover. There are enough beds for five people - everyone else will need to bring a sleeping bag. If you want to come party and not spend the night that is of course fine too! :)
- The weekend of October 12-13 there is a workshop in Whitewater, WI that I will be teaching at. I'd love some or all of you to come with!

I liked Jess's comment. I am available on the 2nd and the 5th and the 10th but would not be available till 3:00 on the 9th. Hoping we make it that far. I always like Car Wash but Cry of the Celts would be okay. We could carpool from my house and take the van.

I too liked your comment .. Jess!! Well as for committing to a date ... I really can't at this time. There is WAY TOO MUCH going on in my life....I got another job! And I can't see straight ... I'm so excided! So of course everything is going bonkers. Oh yeh and I'm in the midst of buying a car...and all the other stuff! So not that clogging is last on the list but I must prioritize!!! Anyway enough about my stuff. Maybe I can sit still for more then 5mins to think about everything. We'll Talk!

The latest on this is we were thinking of doing part of Hit Me and then cutting the music into the circle part of Banjo Boy for the end. What do you think? This is just for the audition. I have no clue what they would want if we actuallly do the commercial....

What time will we be doing I Don't Dance at the workshop?,,, not exact time, but is it morning, afternoon, evening of Saturday or Friday?
