Hi all:

Great job with the YDE recitals! Next up: more!

Bloomington Community Ed recital Saturday and National Tap Dance Day on Sunday! All three classes this week are getting ready for the weekend shows and we'll review as there's time.

If anyone on the performing team wants to practice with the newbies, please show up! Newbies, please join us Tuesday night at 8 PM if you can!

Also - remember that Tuesday is "photo day" (aday.org). If you want to be in a photo, please wear a shirt with the thicker rose on it so it shows up. :)

On Saturday, please arrive at 10 AM at Olson (4551 W 102nd St in Bloomington). On Sunday arrive at Southdale (in the center of the mall) by 1:45 PM. We're wearing lime shirts for both shows, capris on Saturday and long pants on Sunday.

Hi all:

All classes this week will be getting ready for the YDE recitals next Saturday at Visitation! Be there at 2:30 for the first show and 6:30 for the second. To get there take 494 east and exit on Dodd Rd. Turn right on Dodd, left on Mendota Heights Rd., then right on Visitation Drive. We're wearing our new lime shirts and black capris.

Recital songs for the 12th are Giddy on Up and Dynamite. Songs for the 19th (for those of you practicing ahead) are Dynamite, Play That Funky Music, and What's the Rumpus.

Please keep working on everything though as we're still reviewing in class. This week Tuesday we will figure out the groups in Burlesque and the arms for Born This Way.

AWESOME DANCING this weekend by the NYA class! The Mommy-Daughter dance rocked the house in all three recitals!!!!

This week we will learn new dances in every class! The beginners are going to start Dynamite, Tuesday performance team - Born This Way, and Thursday will learn Say Hey.

Practice hard so we can blast through all the other songs too! :) See you soon!

This week Tuesday and Thursday we are perfecting and drilling. Let's try to get all our dances down without any cueing. :) I'm also going to burn some new CDs with the songs that we're really doing this summer. I'm adding Burlesque and Born This Way to the list. Just let me know if you want one.

The NYA recital is next Friday and Saturday! WRC - let me know if you want to come watch! NYA group - think about joining the WRC this summer! :)

Sunday is the last NYA class before the recital.

Hi all:

This week Tuesday the beginners class is on for 6:30 PM in the WRC studio and performance team at 8 PM. Performance team will run through everything we know to make sure we really know it. :) We will hopefully start something new next week.

I'm out of town Thursday so no classes. And NYA is on for Sunday.

Hi all:

AMAZING job on our 4th annual St. Patrick's Day show! And 1st (dare I say annual?) Flash Mob! Beginners classes are Tuesday this week, performance team practice Tuesday and Thursday, and spring break for NYA.

Tuesday we'll break down Devil Went Down to GA and Thursday we'll review all our Thursday songs. (Remember beginners are in the WRC studio at 6:30 on Tuesdays for the next few weeks!)

Are you ready for St. Patrick's Week?!

This week Tuesday and Thursday we are running the show:

1. Tell Me Ma
2. "Flash mob" song (What's the Rhumpus)
3. Meek Maids Reel
4. Bluesberry
5. Dynamite
6. Dooley
7. Shout
8. Devil Went Down to GA/Giddy On Up
9. Play that Funky Music
10. Toss the Feathers

Plan to be there both nights for extra practice! Thursday night at 6:30 the beginners are meeting at the WRC Dance Studio to work on Play That Funky Music and the flash mob song. Everyone is welcome to join us! The Sunday NYA class is almost done with Tiger by the Tail! (I need a partner if anyone wants to come!)

For the show on Friday: arrive at 3663 Park Center Blvd. in St. Louis Park no later than 2 PM. Wear black pants and your green WRC shirts. If you want to wear capris with festive socks that's ok too! Wear beads, head bands, and anything St. Patrick's Day-ish that you want to as long as you can dance in it!

On Saturday, the flash mob is at 3 PM! You already have the location and we will discuss details in person. Tell your friends and family to come, but since a flash mob is supposed to be a surprise I'm not putting many details here. ;)

With an expected high of 53 on Tuesday I think we'll be ok with the weather! :) Please check the emails I sent on 2/22, 2/27, and 3/2 for cue sheets and youtube clips that you should be practicing for our shows St. Patrick's Day weekend!

Thursday night beginners are working on the flash mob dance and the Sunday NYA class is learning Tiger By the Tail.
